Art exhibition by Mark de Wet at Classic Revivals – Karoo Farmscapes
Following a successful exhibition in Cape Town, recently discovered artist Mark de Wet will be showing his second exhibition entitled ‘Karoo Farmscapes’ at Classic Revivals’ Johannesburg showroom.
A first for Johannesburg Mark’s intricate oils depicting Karoo farms and landscapes are painted in a realistic classic style that simultaneously conveys an intriguing animated quality.
At 28 years old Mark is a fresh arrival to the local art scene and brings a fresh perspective to a familiar motif. Mark takes his inspiration from a love affair with the Klein Karoo prompted and nurtured by his parents at an early age.
